Independent Advocacy, Bookkeeping & VA Work

What is a VA?

For more than 20 years I have offered freelance marketing support to a landlady in Gloucester, and around 5 years ago, we had a coffee, and I was talking to her about the SMBN, and some members being VA’s. What is a VA she asked me? I am your VA I answered! You have been outsourcing work to me that you do not have the time or the ability to do, and that, is what VA’s do – they are trusted, often specialist helpers, when employing somebody for the task isn’t a good fit. It is a simple match made in heaven, there are people with the budget to outsource but not the time, and there are also very skilled people with the time, who need the money, but for one reason or another, do not fit into traditional employment.

Coffee always included!

I have worked as VA in civil litigation, bookkeeping, admin and more, and many VA’s will have specialist skills in marketing, social media, law, finance, PA work and more, Much of my work involves acting as an independent advocate, I have very limited time for VA work now, but, I can signpost to one of many specialist and brilliant VA’s in my network, or help you with one off tasks or advocacy for ease or urgency – this could be anything from completing an attendance allowance application for a loved one, renewing car tax, setting up a company, or typing up a property survey. The list is endless really. Please book an hour or half and hour with me if you would like support this way.
